Mission Statement

"The mission of the South Fulton administrative employees at city hall is to provide quality, accurate, and informative assistance to the residents of South Fulton and surrounding community."

The administrative department of city hall is the central nervous system for the city and consist of 4 employees. Some of the responsibilities are:

  • Issuance and collection of property and business taxes

  • Issuance of business licenses (form link coming soon)

  • Issuance of city vehicle stickers (form link coming soon)

  • Utility billing and receiving

  • Collection of electric bills for WCMES

  • Accounts payable and receivable

  • Securing reservations for the Harvey Vick Community Center

  • Serves as a general reception center for all city departments

Monetary transactions made after 2:00 p.m. are posted on next day’s business.

 

City offices will be closed on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day

  • Presidents' Day

  • Good Friday

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day

 

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Thanksgiving Friday

  • Christmas Eve

  • Christmas Day

The City Manager is appointed by the Board of Commissioners as the Chief Administrative Officer to

  • Enforce ordinances

  • Appoint and/or remove subordinate officers and employees

  • Control and supervise all departments

  • Attend all meetings of the Board of Commissioners.  The City Manager may share in discussion but is not allowed to vote

  • Keep the Board of Commissioners apprised of all business within the City and make recommendations accordingly

  • Act as Chief Financial Officer

  • Act as Purchasing Agent

City Recorder

Debbie Beadles

 

Debbie has been employed by the City of South Fulton since 1982 and became the City Recorder in 1988.  She is married to Mike and has three children; son Kris is married and is serving the US Air Force in S. Dakota, son Clay is married and resides in Clarksville, and daughter Kaci attends South Fulton High School.

The City Recorder is appointed by the City Manager and is required to attend and record all meetings of the Board of Commissioners. The recorder is the custodian of the City seal, responsible for accurate records of all business transactions, and maintains and preserves all documents pertaining to the City in accordance with local state and federal laws.  The City Recorder is also the Department Supervisor of the administrative employees in city hall.
