Current
4 lane highways connecting South Fulton to the region
are U.S. 51 & 45E, and Kentucky Purchase Parkway.
Additional highways are 116, 166,129,307, TN Hwy 3 and
43. Construction on Interstate 69 will directly
connect South Fulton to both north and south U.S.

Aviation
and Airports
In
addition to the community KenTenn airport, Everett
Stewart Airport is located 12 miles south in Union
City. It has an excellent 825 acre airfield,
including a 5000 foot concrete runway, taxiway, modern
lighting system, 36 inch rotating beacon, low frequency
NDB and instrument approaches. There are three
hangers and administrative/terminal building. The
field is in excellent condition and approved
construction for runway extension is underway for future
commercial traffic. Executive service available and
full-time mechanic offers repair services. Flying
lessons, storage facilities for private aircraft and
charter aircraft are also available.
Commercial
service is available at Barkley Field in Paducah KY and
in Jackson TN. Both commuter and charter services
are available at these airports. International
flights from Memphis, Nashville, and St. Louis.
Railroads
Passenger trains (AMTRAK) are
available for service from Chicago to New Orleans.
Recreation
Our
area offers a variety of vacation spots. Whether you
live in the region or you're just visiting, everyday can

The
region has in many forms of recreation. Hiking,
camping, fishing, horseback riding, hunting,
sightseeing, are just a few. Reelfoot Lake is an hour
west and Kentucky Lake an hour east. Both have
boating facilities, fine restaurants and more. LBL
(Land Between the Lakes) is located between Kentucky
Lake and Barkley Lake with the Tennessee River.
Reelfoot Lake is near the Mississippi River.
The Kitty
League is the
nickname given to the K.I.T. League, or the Kentucky,
Illinois, Tennessee Baseball League. Players are
between the ages of 18 and 26 who have never signed with
a major league organization are eligible. The
league follows the guidelines set forth by the National
Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regarding player

seasonal variations in both temperature and
precipitation. Snowfall is variable from year to year.
Most winters have little or none, while other winters
